John Roland Porterfield, DMD
Meet Dr. Porterfield, Montgomery AL Endodontist
Dr. J. Roland Porterfield was born in Greenville, Alabama and grew up in Butler County. He graduated from Greenville High School, Auburn University, and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in the top of his class and was inducted into Omicrom Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity. He then completed an endodontic residency at University of Alabama School of Dentistry and entered the United States Air Force as an Endodontic Specialist. He completed service at Maxwell Air Force Base as a Major.
Dr. Porterfield began private practice in Montgomery in 1973 as the first endodontist in central Alabama. He is the only Diplomate of the American Association of Endodontists in central Alabama.

Dr. Porterfield and his wife are members of First Baptist Church in Montgomery. They have two children and five grandchildren. Hobbies include fishing, bow-hunting, racquetball, and precision rifle shooting.
